Melinda studied pre-med as an undergraduate in America, but on returning to the UK and starting a family she turned her laser-sharp mind to medical secretarial work. In the decades that have followed, Melinda has worked in private and NHS hospitals across London and has worked with over 250 specialists. She has established relationships with all of the leading private hospitals in London and understands the working practices of each one.

Her years of experience have taught Melinda that most doctors see administration and accounting as an unwelcome, if necessary, part of their working day, and often postpone till tomorrow the paperwork that is better done today. Encouraged by several consultants, she set up MedicalSec Services Ltd providing bespoke secretarial, accounting and a full practice management service.

Melinda’s deep insight into the UK’s private medical sector has proved invaluable to her clients as she is able to offer a first-class service with a personal touch. While she has now built a team to ensure both patients and doctors have excellent and timely service, she speaks and meets regularly with each client to establish and maintain a solid and professional relationship. Whether it is speaking to a patient diagnosed with cancer or offering guidance to an overworked doctor, Melinda always makes the time to talk and, more importantly, to listen.
